Tutorial: How to make spectacular 3D text?
Wed, 06/16/2010 - 07:09
On this tutorial I will explain you how to create impressive 3D text effects for your presentation titles in a few steps.
Here follows a movie viewing the effects of this tutorial:
Metallic text
![]() |
No real tricks on this effect. Choose Shiny Metal as Material for the text. I put a X angle of 20 on the top text to give it a nice perspective effect.
I use Turn and zoom (2) as Start Effect for both texts. |
Black Foggy 3D effect
![]() |
For this effect, I rotated a little bit the text and I set the following parameters:
|
Wireframe text
![]() |
To create Wireframe effect (as on the old science fiction movies), just set Material as Wireframe. |
Top/Bottom text
![]() |
This effect displays side texts sliding from top to bottom and from bottom to top. First I rotated by 90° the texts on the slide, then I choose the following properties:
|
Tunnel text
![]() |
This text effect is nice with the Tunnel background effect.
I used the following parameters:
|
Falling text
![]() |
This effect simulate one text falling on another one. The trick is to place precisely the second text on the slide, so it will be perfectly on top of the other text.
I used the following parameters:
|
